Who, What, Why, & How
Students, Faculty & Staff at Blue Ridge, Transylvania campus may participate. Submit photos to our monthly Photography Contest to win campus recognition and a gift card. The library encourages creativity and community. Pay attention to the monthly themes, take photos, submit to Michele Handy at the Library Office by last week in month.

Official Contest Rules
Photo Formats:
Entries may be color or black and white prints, keeping the integrity of that month's subject.
Photographer/Copyright
Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. Do NOT submit a photo taken by someone other than yourself. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted.
Photo Subject Restrictions
Photos must be appropriate for posting on a public bulletin board. Obscene, provocative, or otherwise questionable content will not be considered. Blue Ridge retains the sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.
Return of Photos to contestant
Photos will not be returned unless specifically arranged between Michele and the contestant.
Judging
Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, photographic quality, and effectiveness in conveying the beauty and/or unique character of the contest category. A Blue Ridge community member will guest judge the entries and all contest decisions are final. Entries that fail to comply with the official Contest Rules will be disqualified.
Image Modifications
Minor digital enhancement is permitted, however, images that have been significantly modified or appear unnatural will be disqualified.
Submitting Prints
Prints must be 4 x 6 inches or 5 x 7 inches. Do not send negatives or digital images. Please attach a label to the back with your name and contact information (phone or email) so we may contact you if you are the winner. Please do not write on the photo itself. Maximum of 3 entries per person.
