I would like to send a drop to Evelyn Cubias for all that she does to make the school run smoothly. She is the best assistant in the country (this has been verified by Dr. Warrick who visits schools all over the country). Thank you Evelyn for being great!
- Mario Acosta
I would like to give Kudos to the math department and SPED department. Everyone has been so helpful!!!!
- Cynthia Barnhill
I would like to put a drop in the following people's buckets:
Cole Story and Alicia Ontiveros- for helping print SPED paperwork before school started! It was 6 hours of fun ;)!
Kathleen Hoeber- for having the idea for the "red binder" and for helping me organize them! :)
Lisa Mierkiewicz- for taking on a lot of new SPED students and organizing meetings before school even started!
Debbie Torres- for accepting the new schedule and going with the flow (even when scheduling ARDs is so complicated)!
Ashley Brunette- for helping our new FAC teacher (Patti Cole) with the world of Hernandez FAC! We have an awesome program and it's due to these ladies!
ALL SPED staff- for being sooooo flexible and laid back. We're going to have a great year because we have such a STRONG team! ;)
Richard Swords and Noemi Gamas- for helping the SPED dept. with all of the craziness at the beginning of the year. Y'all always had a smile and were willing to help us! Thank YOU!
- Caitlin La
Drops in the bucket for the counselors! Thanks you guys for all the last minute schedule changes!
- Stephanie Saggiante
I like put a drop in Madelyn Winnek's bucket! She has been a rockstar in all our planning!
- Marco Baeza
To Caitlin La for being awesome, super organized, and for getting the sped department off to awesome start!
- Lisa Mierkiewicz
I would like to celebrate Briana Flores for creating an IB Community Project Process packet for our 8th grade students! Last year she aided fifty students in various ways to help them complete their community Project. Thank you for going above and beyond!
Kudos to Wendy Tucker for being amazing and coordinating the author visit with NY Times Best Selling author Joelle Charbonneau for RRISD! I am in awe of her facilitation of this grand week-long extravaganza. She has been working on this for months and the amount of time she has spent is staggering. Please congratulate her for pulling this off! I would also like to just send a shout out for her contributions to all of the grants we write for the IB Programme. She is an amazing cog in this machine we call Hernandez.
- Desiree Le
Mr. Leo, thank you for spending most of first day of school with me and guiding me through the day!
- Kino Esparza
I was stuck with a tire blow out last Friday after school. I had waited for over 2 hours for a tow truck. Then Octavio Villarroel pulled up.....he convinced Discount Tire to stay open late to wait for us to get there. He pulled my tire off and after picking up a new tire he put it on for me. He was amazing and completed my first week at Hernandez with a feeling of community and team work.
- Elisa Klepper
Kudos to Ms. Seelig for helping with newcomer ESL students.
- Lara Raesz
I would like to say THANK-YOU to everyone for making me feel so welcomed!
