Center High School Community Newsletter 2021-2022

Letter from the Principal

Dear Center High School Students and Parents,

My name is Mark Wiegers, and I am excited to be the new Center High School Principal. This school year starts my 10th year in high school administration, and 26th year in education. I look forward to working with our students, parents, and staff. I am a collaborative school leader, and will commit to seeking input from all stakeholders in the Center community. My goal is to ensure that all Center Yellowjackets receive a high quality education that prepares them for life beyond high school.

I believe that creating a positive school culture is essential for our students and staff. I will continually work towards making sure that positive culture exists at CHS. Our staff will work to ensure that each student secures a feeling of belonging to the Yellowjacket family.

Dr. James Comer once stated, “No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship”. I believe he is exactly right. At CHS we look forward to building those positive relationships amongst students and teachers.

In the coming weeks, you will begin to see a weekly newsletter that will be emailed out, as well as posted on the CHS website. I believe that communication is a vital part of the educational process. I will make every effort to ensure that our Center families are communicated with on a regular basis. If you have questions, or need any assistance, please reach out to me either through a phone call, or an email. I am here to serve, and I look forward to getting to know the Center School District family!
