A Note From Miss Kelly
We had a lot of fun learning how to make pizzas in the high school cafeteria! 1A also celebrated our published procedural books this week. Check out the classroom blog to see some great pictures.
Students will be taking the Gates Reading Assessment this week. This test will give us more information on students reading, writing, and phonics skills. To help students do their best, please make sure your child is well rested and has eaten a good breakfast.
News From the School
Next week we will be having a hot dog fundraiser. If you wish to participate, please fill out the form and return it to school by Wednesday, November 12.
Also, we will be having a children's book author, Hena Khan, visiting our school next week. Copies of her books are available for purchase ahead of time. If you wish to purchase a book, please send in the completed form and money by Monday, November 17.
Important Dragon Band Announcement:
If your child uses their Dragon Band to purchase lunch at school it is important to "top up" the band at the vending machine on a regular basis. Campus Card will send reminders to parents once the card dips below 100 QR.
