In "Otter" News - Week #33
For the Week of 5/2 - 5/6
MCAP Assessments
3rd and 4th grades will be testing in Math. 5th grade will be testing in ELA.
Attendance during the testing days is extremely important! Students who are absent will be required to make up the testing upon their return.
The PTA has been very generous and provided us with snacks to help fuel our Otter's brains during the assessment period.
Students may experience anxiety regarding the assessments. This is normal. The best thing you can do as a parent to support your child is to remind them that it is not about getting the right answer every time, but about putting forth their best effort. We learn best about student understanding when they show their work, even if it's wrong! Their thought process is the most important thing to us!
SMCPS Approved Adjusted End of Year Calendar
