Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Stars of the Week:


  • Miss Connellan has nominated Year 9 English students Paris, Ellie, Finlaye and Liam for demonstrating excellent knowledge of An Inspector Calls. Also nominated is Ruby 7TA for wonderful leadership in her group work this week.
  • Mr Cox has nominated his Year 9 Scientists for their dedication and focus in lessons over the last 2 weeks and also Indira and Abigail 9C and Dominika and Hana 9T for excellent grades in their recent Biology Paper 1 test.
  • Mr Lee has nominated 7CO for their excellent start to Pythagoras theorem in Maths.
  • Mr Horne has nominated Year 9 students Abigail and Bethany for an excellent presentation of the results of a statistics project in Maths.
  • Mr Godfrey has nominated Aleksander 9S for great enthusiasm and contribution in Physics this week.
  • Mr Harley has nominated Shaylan & Jayden in 8S DT for winning the paper tower engineering challenge to build the tallest tower, their free standing paper tower was 1.64 metres tall.

  • Mrs Hopkins has nominated all Year 10's for being great ambassadors during the Globe Theatre trip.

Attendance Matters

Every single day a student is absent from school equates to a day lost of learning. At Corby Technical School we pride ourselves in maintaining excellent attendance. Our target is to achieve and maintain a whole school attendance of above 96.5%. We will be giving you weekly updates on our whole school attendance, the tutor group and house who achieved the highest attendance this week.


  • Monday 3rd September and Tuesday 4th September 2018 are staff training days and school is closed to students.
  • We will reopen on Wednesday 5th September 2018.
  • New Year 7 students will join us on Wednesday 5th September.
