THIS WEEK AT SPES
NOTES AND REMINDERS
GRANDPARENTS DAYS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER
The 2015-2016 Grandparents Day celebrations will take place on Thursday, September 17th for grandparents of PreK through 3rd graders and Friday, September 18th for grandparents of 4th-8th graders. Grandparents arriving early are invited to enjoy coffee in the Parish Life Center. They will be welcomed into the school to visit their grandchildren's classrooms from 8 - 8:45 a.m. At 8:45 a.m. all grandparents will proceed to the Cougarena (gym) to enjoy a breakfast of boudin and biscuits.
On these special days we will also be remembering all of the SPES grandparents who have left this life for eternal life with our "Wall of Remembrance." Each child who has a deceased grandparent is invited to decorate a copy of the attached cross, cut it out and return it to school no later than THIS FRIDAY, September 11th so that it can be placed on the "Wall of Remembrance" for Grandparents Day.
To make it a real celebration of our grandparents, Romacelli's is teaming with the SPES PTO to host SPES SPIRIT NIGHT on Thursday, September 17th from 5 - 9 p.m. at both locations - River Ranch and Sugar Mill Pond. Let's make it a big SPES Family Night and celebrate SPES Grandparents Days all at the same time!

SPES HOMECOMING 2015
Have you marked your calendars yet for SPES HOMECOMING 2015? Plans are well underway for the September 24th celebration! Don't miss this great opportunity for a family night at STM! We're going to "GREEN OUT" the stadium and cheer our Mighty Cougars on to victory! Plan on joining other SPES families for lots of SPES Spirit, fellowship and good cheer. It'll be a "no cook" night since we will have DEANO's pizza and jambalaya dinner from Brady & Ashley Bell's Pot and Paddle Jambalaya Kitchen available for sale in the concession stand! Stay tuned to next week's bulletin for details on our Homecoming Week Dress Days and Activities!
