Trash Transition to Red Oak

Please read carefully

Transition to Red Oak will begin Tuesday April 5, 2022

Trash service with Red Oak Sanitation will begin on Tuesday April 5, 2022.

Our neighborhood trash pick up day will be Tuesday's (in keeping with the current Red Oak Schedule of the neighborhood).

Red Oak customers have their trash bins.

All other residents will receive their Red Oak Trash bins on or before March 29th, 2022

Please carefully read the following letter from RED OAK

NOTE: Reasoning for opting in for recycling

A 96 gallon Trash bin and a 96 gallon recycling bin are included in our neighborhood service.

Here is the reason you need to opt in if you are with another sanitation service or if you are a Red Oak customer currently without recycling:

The way Red Oak works with recycling is that the resident contacts them directly to set up recycling. Their reasoning for this is they feel if the person reaches out to get the recycling container, they are serious about recycling. If they just drop off the container to everyone (which they used to do) the resident doesn’t always recycle like they are supposed to and then the load gets contaminated.

If you are CURRENTLY a Red Oak customer:

  • There is no further work to do unless you do not have recycling with Red Oak currently and would like to have it.
  • Billing will stop after the March invoice.
  • If you have a credit balance, Red Oak will issue a check to you. Please allow until the end of April to receive your refund. If you have not received a refund by May 1st, please contact Dawn Bourg with your name and address and the consulting company will resolve the refund.
  • If you currently have recycling with Red Oak- no further action is necessary.
  • If you don't have recycling with Red Oak and would like to start recycling, please fill out the form located in the letter from Red Oak.
  • If you would like to have an extra trash can from Red Oak for an additional $6 per month, please contact Red Oak directly. This will be billed directly to you outside of your HOA agreement.

If you are currently a customer of another sanitation service.

  • Please contact your sanitation service directly. Tell them that you need to discontinue service as of April 1st, 2022 and make arrangements for them to pick up your trash bins.
  • Ask for billing to cease as of April 1st, 2022 and request that any prepayments be reimbursed for the year.
  • Please fill out the Red Oak form if you would like to include a recycling container in your trash pick up (see NOTE above for a full explanation of why you need to opt in),
  • A few local company numbers for your convenience:
  1. Advanced Disposal: 678-710-2075
  2. Sanitation Solutions: 770-886-7323
  3. Republic of Atlanta: 404-693-9200
  • If you would like to have an extra trash can from Red Oak for an additional $6 per month, please contact Red Oak directly. This will be billed directly to you outside of your HOA agreement.
  • PLEASE OPT IN TO RECYLING BEFORE MARCH 20TH, 2022. We are trying to plan for a smooth delivery of cans. If you don't opt in, you won't receive a recycling can.
