English - Luis Torres wows his classmates with his explanations of the many books he is constantly reading, inspiring many of them to try them out too. Little Bee started it, and now he is just a fount of knowledge, ranging from novels to poetry to nonfiction. When engaged in group discourse, he offers such poignant commentary that we are sometimes in awe of his wisdom and inherent compassion and empathy. We all learn from Luis because he is kind and informed.

She is conscientious about turning in assignments punctually, and consistently participates actively during class. Mrs. Gramp appreciates the enthusiasm and positive energy she contributes to our classroom atmosphere.

He often asks meaningful questions that demonstrate intellectual interest in the subject matter. His written work is also a high quality and he is able to fully analyze topics with ease.

TCC- Molly Chapman is a kind and hardworking student in a Marketing class. She is very caring and considerate of others, always ready to help out. Also, Molly challenges herself academically and always manages to meet each challenge with success.

History:

On March 11th, History and Russian Teacher, William Brennan hosted a talk about the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. The college-style presentation took students through a brief history of the region post WWII. Students were introduced to the impact of the Cold War on the Ukrainian-Russian relationship and the changes since the fall of the Soviet Union. Mr. Brennan explored the aggressive and expansive policies of Vladimir Putin in trying to re-establish the borders of the former Soviet Union. Students were invited to register for the event based on interest. Nearly 60 students took advantage of this opportunity. The engaged students were encouraged to ask questions of Mr. Brennan about the history of the region and the potential outcomes of Russian aggression in Ukraine.
