WORLD READ ALOUD DAY 2020 RECAP
Cooks had so much fun celebrating World Read Aloud Day!! Room transformations, door decorating, reading buddies, an author talk, guest readers, twin day/Valpo gear, and a read aloud by Mrs. Miller! We love literacy at Cooks Corners! The PTO is looking forward to being able to help support more World Read Aloud Day activities next year!

BOSTON TEA PARTY - 5TH GRADE VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP
Thank you to the 5th grade team for this message you shared with us:
5th grade would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the PTO for funding our virtual field trip to Boston. All fifth grade classes experienced the Boston Tea Party reenactment. We got to see firsthand what the ships and cargo looked like as well as authentic costumes and settings.
This was beyond a normal Skype session, but allowed our children to actively participate with speeches and activities! Thank you so very much for this awesome opportunity! This is bringing history to life!
Thanks PTO!
5th Grade Team
