Why Should I set up a video studio in my classroom?
Where do I begin?
Steps to consider when doing video projects in the classroom.
1. Outline- Students should begin with the end in mind. What do they want to share? What do they want to show their audience?
2. Script- Students must write what they are planning to say.
3. Planning Sheet- Using a planning sheet or storyboard allows students to plan out what they intend to show. Planning each step encourages them to gather resources ahead of time.
4. Filming- The key to a good video is raw footage. Allow enough time for them to gather this.
5. Editing- Allow enough time for students to review their video and make changes.
6. Publishing- Students can share with class or post on social media for a broader audience.
