Good afternoon,
We have had a successful 2 days of STAAR testing but we are glad it is over! We are getting really close to the end of the school year so please pay attention to dates and times of different events that are going on.
Soccer season starts tonight with the girls taking on Tays JH at Tompkins. On Thursday, the boys play Tays at Tompkins HS. Hope to see you out there!
Also, I am so proud that our 7th grade Counselor, Jessie Clay, was recognized as our District's Junior High Counselor of the Year! Congratulations Ms. Clay!

FAQs
Do I have to submit a 4x6 baby photo?
No but your graduate will miss out on some great smiles.
Should students wear black and/or white only?
Students may wear any color they choose! Can students bring a guest from another school? No, only WCJH 8th graders may attend.
Do the Students need their Student ID to admitted to the dance?
Yes, please bring your ID. Is there a place where the students can check bags, shoes, purses and coats during the party? Yes, we will have a volunteer run coat check free of charge.
Do I have to bring a masquerade mask?
Masks will be provided for all attending if you choose to pick one. Can I wear a Halloween mask to the dance? Please do not, it will take away from the amazing atmosphere created for that night. I’m unsure of the dress code. Please see our Information Packet with such details and much more.
What is included with the price of a ticket?
Attendance for one to the dance, snacks, drinks, your students future High School t-shirt and the possibilities of winning the coolest door prizes.
My 8th grader says he/she doesn’t want to go. Can I get a ticket at the door if we change our mind?
No, tickets will not be sold the night of the event.
Will I receive a ticket before the Celebration?
No, your students name will be on file and will receive a wristband upon entry the night of.
ATTENTION KHS Incoming Freshman Parents!
Attend the upcoming KATY HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN COFFEE on Friday, April 12th at 9:30AM (immediately following the 8:30AM Katy High School Volunteer Celebration in the Katy High School Library).
NO RSVP NEEDED - just attend. We will have information about volunteer opportunities and expectations for your incoming Freshman experience.

Lost and Found
Click the red link below for clothing lost and found items, these items only are in the front office by the PTA desk. All lunch boxes, water bottles, shoes, school supplies, and other clothing items will be stored in the cafeteria. Students can check upfront with Ms. Jen for lost and found electronics.
Clothing items will be photographed and displayed on the lost and found link on a 2 week cycle. Clothing items can be claimed in the front office by the PTA desk.
All ITEMS are DONATED EVERY 2 weeks.
Don't forget to put your name on items that you bring to school!
PUBLIC NOTICE
You are invited to attend an Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) public meeting, which is scheduled for April 17, 2019, at 1:00PM at the Katy Independent School District Education Support Complex (ESC) Room 1200 located at 6301 S. Stadium Lane, Katy, TX 77494. Information regarding Katy ISD’s Title I Program will be shared. Title II, Title III, Title IV, Special Education, High School Accelerated Instruction and Carl D. Perkins CTE programs will also be discussed.
This meeting is held to gather public input on the current school year and on ways the program can be improved. This is your opportunity to discuss ideas that you feel will help improve the academic progress of students enrolled at Title I campuses. Your input regarding the program is important to Katy ISD.
Although this is an afternoon meeting, I hope you will make plans to attend. We value your suggestions and welcome your ideas for review. Thank you for helping us to continually improve educational opportunities for your student(s).
