Mrs. Martin's Memo

The First Grade Times

A great first week complete!

August 17-21, 2020

Thank you, parents, for all the support from sending in supplies to making sure your child is in a mask to being here on time! These school days are different for sure, but they are also very memorable. This week my first graders have shown me their determination and joy in being in the classroom. My heart is full with gratitude to serve these sweet, young minds.

Time for recess!

Lunch time is from 11:55-12:25

Our lunch looks a little different this year. On the odd calendar days of the week, we eat lunch in the cafeteria in assigned seats distanced from one another. On the even calendar days of the week, we eat in our classroom at our own desks distanced from one another. The children have met this new challenge beautifully!

About Mrs. Martin & Contact info:

I have been at Arnold teaching first grade for lots of years now. I have always been in the same classroom and I love it. It's been a huge blessing to me. First graders are my absolute favorite. If I'm not teaching or in my classroom, I'm usually spending time with my family. I have a wonderful husband, Bill, a son who's a senior at CHS, Brayden, and a sweet, snuggable miniature schnauzer, Barrett, whom we call- "Bear".
