Principal's Corner
Happy New Year! I hope that everyone was able to enjoy their time away from school and that you are all ready to get started again. There are a couple of things I want to share with you.
First, starting January 3, all visitors will need to be buzzed into the foyer before being able to sign in or sign your student out. Please be patient with our office staff while we get acclimated to the new safety step. Second, there will be pictures of the lost and found below. Please take a minute to come in and claim any items that may belong to your children. Items not claimed by January 12th will be donated. Reminder there is no school on Monday, January 15th in celebration of MLK day and be looking for details about our Kindness Week which begins January 22nd.

Lunch Balances
There are a couple of different ways to pay for student breakfast/lunch balances.
- You can send money in an envelope to school with your students name on it. We will give it to the kitchen and it will get put on your child's account.
- You can set up an online account through MyMealtime and put money on their account. Check out the food services section of the school website for more information.
You will receive a paper copy of any outstanding balances. If you need help, please reach out to the office.
A Note From Your School Nurse
When should my child stay home?
Our recommendations:
For a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. A student should be fever-free without fever-reducing medication (such as Tylenol or Motrin) for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
Vomiting and/or diarrhea. Students may return to school 24 hours after the last episode.
Suspected/untreated communicable disease (i.e. chicken pox).
Suspected/untreated bacterial infection of the eyes (i.e. conjunctivitis), nose, throat (i.e. strep throat), skin (i.e. scabies), or scalp.
Students should stay home for the first 24 hours of antibiotic therapy.
Rash with fever or behavior change, until a healthcare provider determines that these symptoms do not indicate a communicable disease.
Illness which prevents students from participating comfortably in school activities (i.e. excessive coughing or excessive fatigue).
Illness which results in greater care needs than school staff can provide without compromising the health and safety of other students.
Extra Clothing
Please send a set of extra clothing in a plastic bag labeled with your child’s name. It is important that we have an extra set of clothing in case of spills or accidents. Thank you.
Lost & Found
If your child is missing any clothing, please check the lost in found at EVS.
No Smoking on Campus
According to Section 126-K:7 of NH RSA, no person shall use any tobacco product, device, e-cigarette, or e-liquid in any public educational facility or on the grounds of any public educational facility. This includes in your car in the pick up/drop off line.

Winter Weather Gear
Students should come to school each day prepared for the weather. We go to recess a few different times throughout the day unless the temperature or wind chill is below 10 degrees.
In order for students to access the whole field they need to have:
boots
hats
jackets
snow pants
mittens or gloves
If you need assistance getting any of those things, please reach out.
Attendance
If your child will not be coming to school due to illness or for any other reason, please reach out to the office. Sometimes there is a delay between the time your email reaches your child's teacher and it getting to the office, and the time we reach out to families because we have not heard from you. If you email a teacher, please include Carol Bostwick as well.
Students that do not arrive at school before 8:10 must be singed into the office by an adult. Please park and walk your child into the office.
