Robertson Elementary May, 2021
Hello Robertson Families!
Thanks to all of our families for continuing to follow the procedures in place for student safety this school year. We know this year looks a little different. We thank you for your continued flexibility and cooperation as we work together to safely navigate and fine tune our procedures for helping students enter and exit school safely.
We strive to put the safety of your children first and ask that if you are picking up your child by car that you remain in your car in our two designated car lanes. Please do not park in the parking lot and walk across traffic to get your child as we want to keep everyone safe during dismissal time.
Also, many of you may have heard that our state is changing masking requirements. However, this does not apply to schools. We want to reassure you that for continued safety, while at school, students and staff will continue to wear masks as required by the Yakima School District. We will continue adhering to all COVID safety requirements.
Attendance and Reading
We are focused on student attendance and reading goals. Please help ensure that your child attends their in-person days and all Google Meets on their at home days to give your child every learning opportunity possible in our remaining few weeks of school. We are also working on reading goals with students. You can help your child reach their goals by reading with your child, reading to your child, and encouraging them to read on their own. We want all Robertson Rockets to be wild readers!
