Lucky to Be a Kindergarten Creeker and More!
Additionally, we had a leprechaun friend cause some havoc in Kindergarten classrooms this past Wednesday. Nothing too crazy, and all in good fun! Our Kindergarten students enjoyed searching for the culprit, even setting a trap. Unfortunately, they were unable to capture our playful friend. So, Kindergarten and other classes turned their focus to incorporating St. Patrick's Day themed learning into writing ("How to Catch a Leprechaun"), geography (locating landmarks on a map of Ireland), and more!

Principal's Post - A Weekly Note From Mr. Ortman
Happy post St. Patrick's Day and happy spring to all of our Mill Creekers! Many of us chose to don green this past Wednesday, which is a color that certainly represents the warmth and vibrancy of tomorrow's calendar turn to spring. As flowers soon start to bloom and show their colors, the vibrant colors of nature will once again match the liveliness of our students and building.
Enjoy the transition to spring, Mill Creek. Thank you, Mill Creekers, for exuding the energy of spring throughout the year!

From the Desk of Mr. Murtha
Sometimes I find our students to be the best teachers and role models among all of us. And this past week, our youngest set, the Mill Creek Kindergarten students, set an example for me with their "Lucky to be a Kindergarten Student" messages. I certainly feel quite lucky to be a part of Mill Creek. I get to help guide amazing students. I get to work with incredibly caring and dedicated teachers and staff. And I get the support of a wonderful community. Finding a pot of gold would be nice, but no amount of money can buy kindness, dedication, and support, so I am happy those all lie at the end of the rainbow where Mill Creek sits. May all of our Mill Creek Community Members feel this "lucky."
Happy spring (first day of spring is tomorrow!), and have a wonderful weekend, Mill Creek!
Mr. John C. Murtha
Assistant Principal
