What's happening?

Education is a major issue around the world. A lot of people do have education, but a lot of people don't. The less education increases a lot of things like less knowledge of course, less jobs, more poverty, more hunger, more deaths. People not having education doesn't allow them to have a skilled job and make the money you deserve and earned.

Why is it happening?

There are many different reasons why education is an issue around the world. One reason is the lack of money, there isn't enough money to have a school and able to pay teachers.

Another would be there aren't really any skilled teachers in the areas of where there is no education.

Also, no school to teach at because most people that have no education are living where poverty is a very big issue as well and they have no learning materials such as textbooks, pencils, paper, boards, desks, etc.

Children with disabilities being excluded.

A BIG reason on lack of education is gender. A lot of places don't want women to have education because they don't want them to be able to have a job and know a lot of things.

War is another problem, kids attend school that means a lot of people are in one place at once and that would a lot of people being killed if they were to be attacked.

The distance between home and school can be an issue for a lot of people as well.

Hunger and nutrition is also a problem because the lack of food and water means not very much energy and can cause an illness and children can't attend school being deadly sick and they can't focus if they're starving because they haven't at in three days.

And last but not least, expenses of education is also a huge problem because where people usually don't have education, they're usually deep in poverty.

Why is this a global issue?

"Today, education remains an inaccessible right for millions of children around the world. More than 72 million children of primary education age are not in school and 759 million adults are illiterate and do not have the awareness necessary to improve both their living conditions and those of their children." (Humanium: Together for Children's Rights). So many children and adults lack education and it leads to many more major issues around the world. If people were to have the education they're supposed to the statistics of so many other issues would decrease by a large amount.

Example one: Africa suffers from hunger, education, and many more issues.

Example two: South Asia is one of the highest number of out-of-school children.

Example three: Ages 15-24 the literacy rate has improved globally from 83 percent to 91 percent from 1999-2015.

My solution for this Global issue:

If I were to be a person in the United Nations, I would take my time and brainstorm ideas to get rid of lack of education. I wouldn't rush on a solution because it probably wouldn't work. I would work my way into those places and talk around with them and see their perspective on education and if they would attend school. The lack of education is creating other several issues around the world. Lack of education ties into poverty very well, not have access to education is the reason most people are poor. If you don't have an education you either getting a poor, unskilled job or you can't get a job at all. Without subjects such as English and Math, there's not much you can do without those subjects. You need to know how to read and write to have any kind of job. If i were to be able to change this globally, I would make education a right. If a female, male, child, etc. wants to go to school and have an education they should have the right to. I would not let religion get in the way of this right. Some places women aren't aloud to go to school or get jobs because of their religion and their religion is tied together with the laws that they have. I mean, some may not even want to attend school, so they will have the right not to, but they also will have the right to and no one can tell them they have to go and no one can tell them that they can't go.
