Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
We had a great week at Berkeley Lake Elementary. Parents, if you are planning for your child to come back to in-person instruction, and did not enter that information in the Parent Portal, please let your child's teacher know immediately. We will be sharing any changes to class assignments before we leave for the Winter Break.
We thank you for helping us all stay healthy by sending your child with a mask and letting us know if your child is showing COVID symptoms or has been a close contact with anyone who has tested positive. If in doubt, please keep your child home and give us a call!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Your Principal and Partner,
Dr. Pendleton

PTO News and Information:
Thank you to all who participated in the BLES PTO Annual Berkeley Lake Turkey Trot last week!
- It was a week-long marathon! In addition to burning a lot of calories, the racers and sponsors celebrated the BLES community by sharing motivating messages, pictures and emojis all week. Special thanks to Dr. Pendleton and Beckett Price for winning the top fundraiser prizes and to our random drawing winners from among the race finishers: John Canel of North Carolina and Kate Breitfeller (BLES Classes of 1984-1989) of Florida. A special note of gratitude to one of our PTO members, Michelle Hammond, who proactively came to us and offered to do a virtual event when we had to cancel the in-person Turkey Trot this year. That kind of engagement from our membership is what helps drive our ability to support the school. We can’t thank Michelle enough!
Our Fall/Winter Spirit Wear pop up is now open – but only for a very short time!
- This pop up is only open now through December 11. If you have been longing for our long sleeve t-shirts and cozy sweatshirts, now is the time to get them. Ordering is super easy. You can go to the website and place your order there. The website is https://stores.inksoft.com/bearshop.
- Or, if your child is an in-person learner you have the option to send your order via the order form that will be sent home with your child in their backpack folders. If paying with the paper form, simply fill out the form and send both the form and payment to school with your child. Get yours today! Click here to print the order, fill it out and send it back to your child's teacher along with your payment.
It’s the season for giving and we’ve got valuable information for you!
- The PTO helps you out each year by gathering the gift-giving preferences of our teachers and staff. Visit our site to find your teacher’s favorites!
