Writing (Written by Cambria)
Dear Mom and Dad,
In writing we worked on editing and revising. Now we are working on fiction personal narratives which is a fiction story that can be real in your life. We are writing about a lesson we've learned.
Love you! Sincerely, Cambria.
Science (Written by Nikita)
Today in science we are learning about balance and motion by spinning a top with two yellow discs and two red discs. We learned a force is needed to make an object spin.
Malia practicing spinning her top!
Cambria and Jordan building and testing their tops.
Top investigations at work!
"Once upon a time life takes courage; be brave! To begin, begin!" (Quote found by Sourena)

In math we are working on 2D and 3D shapes. A 3D shape is something that you can hold and roll down a mountain. A 2D shape is like paper. It can not roll down a mountain. We are taking our Unit 5 test on Thursday.
Leadership (Written by Miss Tigges)
We are starting 2017 reviewing our leadership skills BIG time. We are spending time reviewing the 7 Habits and our Growth Mindset Stances. Students are also getting the chance to apply for new jobs as the new year begins. Now is a great time to review the 7 Habits with your child and to discuss having a growth mindset in 2017.
Also, we have a new "Leaders in Action" board in our classroom. If you would be interested, or if you know somebody who would be interested, in speaking to our classroom about being a leader, please email Miss Tigges and we can schedule a time for a leadership visit! We'd love to get your face on this Leaders In Action board!! :)
