Fourth Grade News

The Week of May 30 - June 2, 2011

Our Week Ahead:

Reading: We will continue reading and note-taking with Letters From Rifka. Students will also collaborate with their peers in book clubs as we meet on Wednesday to share our notes thus far.

Writing: Students will continue working on their persuasive essays.

Social Studies: We will wrap up our partner slide show presentations on the states of the Western Region. We will also continue to explore immigration throughout U.S history.

Math: Students will continue to work on their "Fraction Avenue" projects and then move onto "Geometry City".

Science: Students will continue learning about animals (camouflage, hibernation, migrations, and adaptations) through text, videos, and hands-on projects.
