Superintendent's Update
This newsletter will be shared every Tuesday throughout the year and can be found on our website and under About TES, Superintendent.
I hope you and your child(ren) have settled in to school routines. It can take some time to learn and practice new morning routines at home and in school. A new classroom, hallway, floor, etc. all take time to adjust to. It was a pleasure to see so many families attend Back to School Night on 9/13 and look forward to seeing you again soon!
By this point in September teachers are administering Beginning of the Year benchmark assessments to gain understanding of each child's mastery level of specific academic skills and standards. This data is used to guide instruction and develop small groups for tailored instruction. It is also used as criteria for Basic Skills support and Enrichment.
Last week it was communicated to TES staff and families that we are following the New Jersey Health Department’s guidelines for health and safety in the public schools. The update included what to do if a student/staff member is Covid-19 positive. If your child is exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, we recommend that you contact your doctor for guidance. Following the guidance, a quarantine period will no longer be required.
