Dean's Den
Greetings Trailblazers!
Creating a learning environment that is positive, safe and respectful for all is critical to the success of our students. Safety doesn't happen by accident...it takes lots of practice! Our students and staff have successfully completed a weekly fire drill, 2 lockdown drills, and we will be rounding out the month with a Bus Evacuation Drill. Classrooms have also been diving into safe technology use and we have continued to learn and practice safety on the playground, cafeteria, and bus.
We appreciate all your support and wish you a safe and wonderful last week of September!

Box Tops for Pajama Day?!
PIzza, popsicles, and pajamas anyone?
Hello Trailblazers!
As we enter the last two weeks of our Direct Donation campaign, we are excited to announce a school-wide contest to entice families to contribute. The class with the MOST families that participate will win a Pizza, Popsicles, and Pajamas party! Donations can be made online at the PTO website or send in the paper flyer you can download here. (Take a minute to read this flyer - full of fun prizes) Our contest will end on October 5, so send in your money today.
Why have a direct donation campaign? This eliminates the need for us to have a traditional catalog fundraiser while allowing us to keep 100% of the proceeds. Past money has been used to purchase technology such as Chrome books and iPads, as well as to help teachers bring valuable educational enhancements to the classroom. Currently, we are hoping to make improvements to the Kindergarten playground and purchase additional recess equipment for the entire school after the expansion of recess time. Don't forget, all donations are tax deductible!
As always, we thank you for your support!

Have you taken a moment to read the Direct Donation flyer attached below? If not, it's a great read for sure - full of humor and prizes! Speaking of prizes - do you know what you could possibly win with your entry?
For....
- $25... I do not want to be asked to buy food, so here is the money I would have spent on stocking the concession table at events. (entered to win an Echo Dot)
- $50.... I do not want to hit up friends, family, and co-workers to buy products we don’t want or need so here is the money I am donating on their behalf. (entered to win an IFly voucher)
- $100... I do not want to participate in anything that would force me to give up the little bit of “me” time I have, I am giving you this money to protect my time. (entered to win a Hoverboard)
- $250... I really would not have volunteered my time, so here is my money to forget my kids even attend the school. (all participants will be invited to slime Mr. Painter)
- $... I know you are desperate and will take anything I give you!
