Harriet Tubman, Fredrick Douglass and Martin Luther King Jr. are three of the greatest African Americans who tried their best to help their own.
Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman was an American bondwomen who escaped from slavery . Harriet Tubman went back to the south to save the other slaves . Harriet saved more than 300 slaves. She freed them into the northern states where slavery wasn't allowed or tolerated.
Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. was a motivational speaker who created the "I have a dream" speech which moved thousands. He instead of using violence to get justice he used his words. He convinced the people to stop using the buses for transportation due to an arrest of a colored women. It proved to the owners of buses that colored people are the majority that ride buses which changed their minds. Sadly after his "I Have A Dream" speech he was shot and died.
Fredrick Douglass
Fredrick Douglass was a man who was born to a mother who was a slave and a white father who was nowhere. He was taught to read and write by his owner's relative. Later in life he left to the northern states with his wife. He proved others that he was a good speaker who motivated others to be the best they could be. He later wrote a book that changed people's mid.
