When looking at Objective 2.9, keep in mind the verb in this objective is to evaluate. Look at the question stems for evaluating in this document to get an idea of how you should approach evaluate objectives with students.

Civics and Economics
Students often have trouble matching the different components of the levels of government. This analogy activity can help and is a great review at the end of the unit. If you are not big on manipulative activities, here is the same activity but in a non-manipulative style.

American History 1
By the end of the week, we should be planting the seeds of the American Revolution. Yes, we are ready for Unit 2. Teaching American History has two books full of primary resources that are a great resource for this unit: The American Founding and The Constitutional Convention.
American History 2
We are knee deep into Unit 2: The Gilded Age and Progressivism. As we move forward through the unit, be sure to incorporate the perspectives of women, African Americans, and other minority groups that fought for changes in the status quo. This link provides some background on race and labor issues in the United States.
PBS has put together a collection of lesson plans for Black History Month. The majority of the lessons fall within the AM2 course. Check them out. (Please pay attention to grade level suggestions.)
