Cougar Team Update
From: Mrs. Lampe, Mrs. Boice, Mrs. Eisenhofer
Week 6: September 28-October 2
Just a few reminders for you this week. We have our school wise book fair next week. Your child can go to the book fair before school or during their normal Media Center time. Also, the $50 deposit to attend the Outer Banks Trip is due on Monday. Progress reports went home on Thursday. If you have not done so, please sign the progress report and have your child return it on Monday.
Language Arts/Social Studies
This week students worked on creating plot diagrams. Throughout the week they created plot diagrams based on short stories as well as writing their own short story.
Next week we will be looking at text structure and word meaning as it pertains to informational text. We will also have a new week of vocabulary. The weekly vocabulary words can be found in your students BlackBoard page.
Please remind your students that they have a Daily 5 menu that needs to be completed each week. Students are given time in class to work on their menu but they should plan to finish what they don't get done at home as homework.
