Author G. Ross Kelly – “What’s Your Favorite Song?”
Bring a sandwich meet the author, and and join the discussion!
G. Ross Kelly is one of the 10 children raised by Mr. and Mrs. Kelly here in Statesboro. His mother, Emma Kelly was the Hall of Fame musician and ‘Lady of 6000 Songs’ written about in the best seller "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." who was best known as the piano player who could seemingly play any song ever written.
Her son Ross Kelly however reveals Emma Kelly’s accomplishments as wife and mother from the entertaining tales of how he and his nine brothers and sisters performed song and dance routines as part of his mother's musical performances, to the ways in which she and her husband overcame challenge and hardship through the Great Depression, a World War, and the baby boom years to raise ten children who were an integral part of her musical performances and later became successful college-educated adults.
Bring a sandwich (we’ll bring the coffee/tea and cookies!) meet the author,
and join the discussion!
