Parent Teacher Conferences, Wednesday, October 28th

As with most things in 2020, this year's parent-teacher conferences will look a bit different. In an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy, we will be holding Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences this year. Parents will be asked to schedule either a phone conference or a Zoom conference with their child's teacher. Forms were sent home with students on Tuesday and teachers are working hard to get conferences scheduled.

If you have not yet scheduled your conference, please make sure to reach out to your child's teacher and make an appointment. Conferences will be scheduled for Wednesday, October 28th from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. If there are other school staff you would like to speak with on this day please reach out to them to schedule a time to connect or ask your child's teacher to share your request for a meeting.

As with other conference days, Wednesday, October 28th is a NO SCHOOL Day for students. If you have any questions about conferences, please reach out to your child's teacher or the school office. We hope you are all able to connect with your child's teacher in some way during conference day.

4H Camp at Bryant Pond

Recently our second graders were able to enjoy nature at the beautiful 4H Camp in Bryant Pond. For over 50 years the University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Bryant Pond (formerly the Maine Conservation School) has strengthened children’s relationship to the natural world with a combination of inspired outdoor fun, practical woods-wise skills, and “hands-on” conservation education. Helping young people learn to take care of our natural world and themselves when they are in it are our most important goals.

Many of our grade levels have been able to enjoy this amazing learning center this year. The students have enjoyed hiking, building fairy houses out of natural materials, dissecting owl pellets, inspecting animals' pelts, and much, much more. We are so appreciative of the district for making this outdoor education opportunity possible for our students.
