5th Grade Ukulele - Your 5th grade student either has started or will be starting ukulele instruction soon. As part of playing ukulele students went over this Ukulele Expectations Agreement so all can be successful in playing ukulele and taking care of our instruments for many years to come!
Ukulele Expectations Agreement - please take a minute to look through
3rd & 4th Grade Recorders - All 3rd & 4th grade students need a recorder. Many students have already brought in their recorders - Thank you! If your student has not, please have them bring their recorder to their music teacher. If you are hoping to purchase a recorder for your student, you can find them at a music store or on Amazon (Soprano Baroque recorder). These are a better quality instrument than those you would find at Target/Walmart or a toy store. Recorders need to be labeled with student's first and last name. If you have any questions please contact your child's music teacher.
During Term 2 we are focusing on:
3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade: Melody, Harmony & Expressive Elements
2nd Grade: Melody
K & 1st Grade: Musical Opposites.

Art News
We want to take a moment to thank everyone that supported our Square One Fundraiser this year! We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you!
Our annual Night of the Arts will be held on December 13, 2018. The Art show is from 5:30-6:30pm. We will have the Kindness Rocks on display that night as well as fabulous artwork hanging in the halls, so we really hope to see everyone attend.
Our Art Club has been hard at work creating a beautiful wall mural for our Media Center. It is made from recycled bottle caps.
It's the time of year when sickness starts spreading like wildfire. To help stop germs from spreading, the Art Department would love donations of tissues and hand sanitizer. If you can donate these items, please send them in with your child. Thank you!
