Mission
The mission of Loveland elementary school, in partnership with our actively involved community, is to promote excellence and instill a desire for learning by challenging each individual within a safe, supportive environment.
Loveland's Expectations
Be Safe
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Dear Loveland Families,
As we enter the winter months, please remember to have your children check the lost and found. We tend to get many items left over the noon hour, and I know these items easily get lost during transition or recess times. Please feel free to stop in after school if you would like to look for some lost items!
Thank you again for your continued support of our school. As we approach Thanksgiving, I am thankful for such a caring community, and specifically for you giving us your children to be part of our school.
Ms. Hornung

TAGG FOR LOVELAND update
As we head into the third week of our TAGG for Loveland fundraiser, we are happy to report that we currently have 75$ in our TAGG account. We are confident that we will make our $500 goal by December 8. As a reminder, all funds will go to the Loveland holiday fund to help families in need.
Did you know you can upload receipts not only from Hy-Vee and U-Stop, but from a number of local businesses [drive.google.com]? You simply download the app, upload your receipt, and raise money for Loveland. Between November 8 and December 17, we have the goal of raising $500.
For more information on how to TAGG, check out this short video [youtu.be].
WECC is Hiring
Loveland Club 66 specifically is looking for at least 3 more staff members to be able to accept all students off the waitlist. If you know someone interested in working with children, please send them our way! (Applicants must be at least 18 years old.)

COVID Vaccination Clinics
The Douglas County Health Department has asked us Westside and other area school districts to share the following link regarding upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinics for children ages 5-12 who may now be eligible to receive it.
https://www.douglascountyhealth.com/109-covid-19/812-where-to-get-a-covid-19-vaccine
Westside Community Schools is also hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday November 20 at Westside Middle School, 8601 Arbor Street. Our site will be open from 10:00am until 2:00pm; this is a walk-in clinic and appointments are not needed. This site is open to children ages 5 through 11, as well as those 12 years and older interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. A second dose vaccine clinic is scheduled for December 11 from 10:00am until 2pm, also at Westside Middle School
We understand this a personal choice for your family and encourage you to discuss at home and with your family doctor. For additional information about Westside’s response and protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic, please visit this link on our website: https://www.westside66.org/domain/408
If you have additional questions about anything related to COVID-19 and Westside Community Schools guidelines, please email feedback@westside66.net.

Wednesday Dismissal
Every Wednesday we will end the school day at 3:00 pm instead of 3:30 pm. This gives our teachers throughout the District collaboration time by attending weekly professional learning communities. Please plan accordingly to pick your child up at 3PM.
2022 Battle of the Books
Mark your calendars to join us for the 2022 Battle of the Books on March 19, 2022 at Westside Middle School! This annual Westside district tradition provides an opportunity for teams of 3-5 students in 4th-6th grade to participate in a quiz bowl-style competition where they answer questions based on content from the 2021-2022 Golden Sower nominees.
Please visit our FAQ or Rules pages for more information about the event. Registration will be in October. Happy reading!
