Awareness on viruses!

Today's main feature: Chickenpox

Chicken pox Overview

Chickenpox, also known as varicella is a extremely contagious virus that makes an itchy rash on your skin. It does not always cause a rash it can cause red spots and/or blisters. This virus causes problems to all kinds of people who have immune system problems.

How to prevent getting Chickenpox

Sometimes people will have this virus for 2 to 3 days before they start having symptoms, thus they are able to spread it easily. If someone you know has chickenpox, stay away, and wait at least a few days until they are recovered before interacting with them to avoid getting sick.

Once someone has had the chickenpox it is extremely rare for them to get it again. But it is always good to "proceed with caution". Just because you are immune or have received the vaccination, doesn't mean you should eat and drink after someone who is sick! So stay safe! And stay away from chickenpox!
