Lenape Open House & Student Schedules
On August 21st and 22nd, Lenape students will be able to pick up their schedules, open lockers and tour the building from 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Additionally, on August 21st, the Lenape Student Ambassadors will be offering voluntary orientation programs. Students may choose to attend a session from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. or 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. 8th and 9th grade Lenape Student Ambassadors will provide guided tours, assist with opening lockers and answer questions.

Parent Volunteers Needed
We are in need of several parents to assist with our main fundraising event for the year, the Magazine Drive. If you are interested in helping, please email Mr. Fash at email@example.com.
We also need a parent to be the school’s CB Cares Boomerang liaison. Duties to include PR for the program and helping to organize two Boomerang breakfast events. Minimal meeting time required.

School Lunch and Breakfast Prices for 2013-2014
Middle School meal prices for the 2013-2014 school year are as follows:
Regular Lunch Meal Deals - $2.80
Premium Lunch Meal - $3.30
Breakfast - $2.05

Students taking PE classes this year will be able to purchase gym suits (t-shirt and shorts) and locks for their PE lockers during the first week of their class. The price for all 3 items is $10.50. Individual items may be purchased separately (Shorts - $3.60; T-Shirt - $2.15; Lock - $4.75). Checks should be made out to “Lenape Middle School”. (Cash is fine as well.)
We would like to remind you that if your son or daughter is playing a sport this year, they will need a PIAA physical form completed by a doctor. Forms and additional information about fall sports and tryouts can be found here.
Cheerleader Tryout Information
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. Cheerleading season is right around the corner. I wanted to send a quick couple reminders to everyone.
Please obtain signatures for all required paperwork that was given out at the parent meeting. Have these all ready to be turned in a sealed envelope with your cheerleaders name and grade on it. Please have this paperwork on DAY 1 of tryouts.
Please have all physical paperwork completed and sealed in an envelope with your daughter’s name and grade on it. This MUST be with your cheerleader at the beginning of day one tryouts. If your cheerleader does not have this with them they will not be allowed to stay and tryout or practice.
We are doing things a little different this year for tryouts. Please send your daughter dressed with the following attire on these specific days....
DAY ONE TRYOUTS- BLACK TSHIRT OR BLACK TANKTOP AND RED SHORTS..SNEAKERS..HAIR IN PONYTAIL AND A BOW
DAY TWO OF TRYOUTS- PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR DAUGHTER TO MAKE A TSHIRT SHOWING HER LENAPE SPIRIT WITH EITHER BLACK OR RED SHORTS..SNEAKERS..HAIR IN A PONYTAIL AND A BOW....
Tryouts DAY ONE will be held AUG 19 9am-1pm in LMS AUX GYM
Tryouts DAY TWO will be held AUG 20 9am-1pm in LMS AUX GYM
Cheerleaders will receive an envelope at the end of Aug 20 with their result of tryouts sealed inside. If your daughter makes the team she will follow the camp schedule and rules.
Camp will be held AUG 21ST AND AUG 22ND 9am-3pm in the Aux. Gym
PLEASE PACK YOUR DAUGHTER A BAGGED LUNCH, SNACK AND WATER BOTTLE.
CAMP COST WILL BE 40.00 PER CHEERLEADER. CAMP COST IS DUE BY CAMP DAY ONE.
As we get a little closer to tryouts and camp more information will be available.

CBSD School Board Briefs – July 24, 2013
At the July 23, 2013 School Board Meeting, the Central Bucks School District School Board:
Approved the School Board Minutes – June 11, 2013 and July 3, 2013.
Approved the appointment of David Weitzel, Ed.D. as Acting Superintendent effective immediately.
Received the IU Board and MBIT Committee Reports.
Approved the creation of a Long Term Capital Reserve Fund and the transfer of $8,000.000 from the General Fund into it.
Approved the Treasurer’s Report, Ratification of Investments for the Month of June, and Budgetary Transfers.
Approved the purchase of ten school buses (55 new 77-passenger buses, 4 smaller special needs buses, and 1 wheelchair equipped bus).
Approved the school boundary assignments for new housing developments in Warrington Township.
The administration is recommending the attendance boundaries for Mill Creek Elementary and Unami Middle School be amended to include the following housing developments that are currently in the Titus Elementary and Tamanend Middle School attendance boundary:
- Oak Creek development, located near County Line Road and Folly Road
- Warrington Glen development, located near Street Road and Folly Road
- Illg’s Tract development, located near Bradley Road, Illg Road, and Folly Road
The following three new housing developments that are currently in the Titus Elementary and Tamanend Middle School attendance boundary are not recommended for inclusion in the Mill Creek Elementary and Unami Middle School attendance boundary:
- Penn Rose Walk development, is located near Titus Elementary.
- Roosevelt Court development, is located near Titus Elementary.
- Warrington Meadows development, located near County Line Road and Folly Road currently has 7 students attending Titus Elementary.
in the amount of $27,800. In August this project will be rebid.
9. Accepted the Fact-Finders Report and Approved the settlement of the
Transportation Contract effective July 1, 2013 – June 30, 2016.
10. Tabled School Board Policy #530 – Overtime, so that the proposed policy can be
posted on the CBSD website.
11, Approved the 2013-2014 District Goals.
12. Approved various personnel items, tuition student, foreign exchange students,
student trips, and staff conferences/workshops.
13. Received the 2012-2013 Semi-Annual Rating of Elementary and Secondary
Temporary Professional Employees as an information item.
