A Message from the Principal
Lauren Meeks
February 15, 2019
Dear Parents,
This week was LISD Volunteer Appreciation Week. We want to thank our volunteers for dedicating countless hours to support teachers and students. We truly are so very lucky to have so many volunteers give their time to our school. THANK YOU!
Parkside is closed to NEW student transfer requests. CURRENT transfer students and their siblings must apply to continue their transfer status for next school year. The district will begin to accept requests on February 25th until March 24th, and the link will be on the LISD website; usually under district information and zoning. For questions, email Terri Mokry at Terri.Mokry@leanderisd.org
The school day officially begins at 7:45 a.m. and that is one of the most important times of the day. This is a time when teachers review and set instructional goals and learning begins. We have noticed an increase in tardies since our return this semester. We do realize that some tardies are unavoidable due to various circumstances. However, we also know that when students miss too much school – regardless of the reason – it can cause them to fall behind academically. All doors except the front doors close and lock at 7:45 each day to ensure that we are starting the school day on time and our staff members on duty can report to their next assignment. Thank you in advance for partnering with us to ensure we get a full day with our amazing Mustangs!
Have a wonderful weekend!
