2018-2019 Parent Survey Results
Under federal accountability requirements, states must report the extent to which schools
facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving services and results for children
with disabilities (Indicator 8 of the State Performance Plan under the Individuals with Dis-
abilities Education Improvement Act). To meet this requirement, as well as to collect data
to help inform improvements at the district and state levels, Texas annually surveys a strat-
ified random sample of parents of students receiving special education services.
