WELCOME BACK, STUDENTS!
Toasty Toes Sock Drive
Spring 2014 LEAP Enrollment
Upcoming Opportunities
Toasty Toes Sock Drive
The "Toasty Toes" service project ends on Monday morning, January 27th. New and gently used socks, for any age group, may be donated. Collection boxes can be found in the Library, Chapel office, Campus Life, and the Center for Community Engagement and Leadership Development.
The project will provide socks to the Upshur Parish House and Salvation Army and will support a community-wide sock drive sponsored by the Upshur Literacy Volunteers agency. Socks are one of the items in highest demand, especially as temperatures plummet! Pick up a pack at the store or go through your drawer...save a neighbor's piggies!
Spring 2014 LEAP Enrollment
LEAP is a co-curricular leadership certificate program which seeks to prepare students for leadership roles and responsibilities in service to the college and community. LEAP accomplishes its mission through education, development, and training in a series of sessions and activities on the West Virginia Wesleyan College campus. Students will develop a personal leadership model grounded in theory and research aligned with the mission of West Virginia Wesleyan College.
Enrollment in the program is $15 and covers the cost of each student's StrengthsFinder Assessment access code and program materials. Talk to Jessica Wagner in the Center for Community Engagement & Leadership Development (behind the campus bookstore) today! The deadline for enrolling in LEAP this semester is Friday, January 31st!
