We did it! STAAR 2023 is DONE:)! I am quite sure our kids are celebrating just as much as our teachers are!

For those of you who don't know, STAAR has undergone, yet another redesign. All tests were taken online this year, and also now includes:

• Online Testing and Accommodations
• New Question Types
• Cross-curricular Passages
• Evidence-based Writing

Our teachers have been preparing students all year for this more rigorous format! I thought you might be interested in seeing some of the new item types!!

I am proud of our teachers and students and feel confident that Bradley will do well!

Dear Bear families,

We are now in the home stretch to finishing up the 2022-2023 school year. We finished STAAR testing this week and are now looking forward to end of year fun and continued academic challenges!

Pease check your child's grades in the SKYWARD portal. Remember, that a final average for semester 1 and semester 2, for each course, must be at least a 70.
Students who do not meet this criteria will be invited to credit recovery and/or summer school which will be held at Wood MS this year.

IT NEVER GETS OLD IDENTIFYING SUPERSTARS at Bradley!

Meet Jackson Lecce, his teacher shared that Jackson has a special and unique way of interacting with adults (attd. aide) and is always respectful and courteous. He strives to excel academically and is a wonderful peer to all!

Adalynn Cornwell's teachers shared that she is sweet, proactive and responsible! She is resilient and keeps a positive attitude about everything. She is bright and compassionate and they feel blessed to have her as their student!

I can also attest to the things above shared about each of these students. It is GREAT TO BE A BEAR!!

Come one, come all, to A Night in Old America out at the Mill Springs Cabin! We are excited to invite you and your family to help us celebrate the grand opening of our newest exhibit, William York’s Americana. We will be celebrating with food, fun, and family at our ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, May 12th from 5-7 pm. Inside our great green barn, you will find some of America’s greatest hits such as; classic Hollywood stars, everyone’s favorite family board games, comic book heroes, and even a few Looney Toons. Don’t forget to look up and enjoy our spotlight-featured murals, all hand painted by South Texas artist, William York. We hope to see y’all out on May 12th at the cabin for this exciting, grand opening!

The NEISD K-9 unit has been and will be visiting Bradley throughout the remainder of the year. The responsibility of the K-9 unit is to ensure our schools remain safe; drug & weapon free. Your children may come home sharing that Bradley was visited by the K-9 unit. Rest assured, they are here to keep Bradley safe!

OUR WONDERFUL PTA has planned a fantastic party for our 8th grade students. It will be held at NE Sports Complex on Monday, May 22nd. Below is a list of the parameters for attendance.
