What is Animal Abuse?
Sometimes, a owners pet means the world to them. Others respect animals like they are nothing. World wide, animal abuse is a massive conflict. People don't just abuse pets. They abuse animals you would have never known would have been abused. Cows, horses, bears, even elephants. There is different ways of abusing animals. But why would people do this?
cats get hurt too
Cats look for a home after being abused by their past owner.
dogs get locked up
After all they have been through, the dogs get locked up after abuse.
Bears get abused too
Its not just dogs and cats that get abused.
The most common type
This type shows the owner beating the animal. Some examples of the "Physical Abuse" is, welts, broken bones, black eyes, cuts, and open wounds. There is too many other things to name.
Why?
Why would people do this to pets? They know its a crime, and animals feel the same way we feel. They also have feelings like us. They say they are just letting off steam, but they could go to the gym. Or do something else to let off steam. Studies show that people that commit animal abuse are also 5 times more likely to commit violence against people, 4 times more likely to commit property violence, and 3 times more likely to be involved in drunken or disorderly offenses.
