Lost and Found Items
Principal's Corner
Then draw up a list of jobs your child is expected to do during the day. These include both at home responsibilities (brush teeth, make bed, hang up school clothes) and jobs done at school (finishing work at school on time).
At the end of the day, go through the list of jobs. For each job finished-and done well-you move an item out of your jar and into child's jar.
When his/her jar is filled, she gets to decide what he/she would like to do as a family. Outings might include a visit to grandparents, a trip to the movies, a camping trip or a pajama party in the living room for the whole family.
