Family PACER Challenge Night at DOYLE - Snow Day Make Up
Thursday, February 23rd, 2017 *
Come and experience the PACER at our Family PACER Challenge Night at Doyle! You can do your part to be heart smart, enjoy exercising with your family, and get oriented to the fitness assessment called the PACER (Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run). This mandatory fitness assessment for grades 3-6 involves running continuously between 2 points that are 15 meters apart from side to side to recorded beeps.
This school year, we are inviting a target audience, 3rd-6th grade students and parents.
Please sign up now to secure your spot in one of the age appropriate sessions. Attendance is limited to 15 participants.
- Sessions for children are 15 minutes and start at 6:30 and 7:15
- Sessions for adults are 20 minutes and start at 6:50 and 7:35PM.
Best Health,
Mrs. Shari Williams, PE Teacher
* This is the make-up day for February 9 when school was closed due to snow. If you signed up to participate on February 9 but are not able to attend on February 23, please delete your sign up so that other families will be able to participate.

Doyle Behavior Plan - Responsibility
Respect – Responsibility – Cooperation – Citizenship – Academics
For the 3rd marking period, we are focusing on “Responsibility”. Your child’s teacher will be sending home an activity for you and your child to do at home. This activity should be completed as a family and returned to school by Wednesday, February 22. The examples students generate will be used in class activities and discussions during the following week.
Thank you in advance for your help and support.
Operation Helping Hands
It is a sad fact that 16% of children in Bucks County are considered food insecure, negatively impacting their development and learning. Operation Helping Hand is a way to combat that and a powerful learning opportunity for students.
United Way of Bucks County (UW Bucks ) , Bucks County Opportunity Council (BCOC), and Inspire Federal Credit Union are teaming up for Operation Helping Hand (OHH) 2017, with the goal of collecting 72,000 lbs of food for your local food pantries. This will be our 42nd year of working with schools across the county to fight hunger and we encourage you, your school, and your students to be part of the solution.
Non-perishable food, paper towels, soap, and other household items will be collected at the school March 1 - March 8.
