News from the Superintendent
Karen D'Avino, December, 2018
Gratitude
At Vernon Township High School I recently attended the first ever English Symposium. This event focused on celebrating the successes of our recent graduates with a focus on the value of English. I was impressed by our alumni. They spoke highly of the English department at Vernon High School as well as their experiences at VTHS. Students were articulate and accomplished. I could not have been more impressed.
If you are looking for more good news, I am sure you are tuned in to our YouTube channel. VTHS Studios has produced more forty podcasts celebrating the successes of our students and district. For more information, please follow the link at the bottom of this newsletter.
I have received a warm welcome from Vernon and look forward to future successes in our schools and community. On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to wish all of our staff, students, and families Happy Holidays!
