Early Action for Success Update

I have been busy completing a large state-wide evaluation for EAfS this week. It was a very comprehensive survey that took me close to 3 hours to complete. EAfS State leadership team are also doing the rounds and speaking to Principals (I believe Steve was approached at Lethbridge Park for his comment.)

As a result of this evaluation, an interesting read about EAfS and commentary by Dr Ken Boston (mastermind behind EAfS), appeared in Friday morning's Sydney Morning Herald. Richard Ford, Principal at Tregear PS was interviewed along with Kerry Weston, Instructional Leader.

(see extract from article attached to this post. I have the original newspaper in my office if anyone is interested.)

How do you feel about the curriculum review's recommendation to move the start of Technologies from kindergarten to Year 9? Please endorse the Technologies syllabus from K-10 and support our students as creators, not just consumers of digital technology. The recent curriculum review places this under threat from K-8.
