A Message From Mrs. O'Shaughnessy
Happy May! As we enter our ninth month of school this year, we can reflect on this past year, and continue to plan for the remaining two months. May and June are packed full of amazing things. I couldn't think of a better way to wrap up the 2021-2022 school year.
This week is no different! We kick off Teacher Appreciation Week. Our PTA has planned a wonderful week as well as the plans Ms. Lowe and I have for our amazing staff. In my eyes, every single person who works in a school is a teacher! Our students learn by how we act, how we interact and how we care. From our amazing School Safety Agents, to our kitchen staff, to our custodial staff, our students connect with everyone. Our staff teach more than academics, they teach empathy, understanding, and collaboration to name a few. We celebrate all of our teachers this week, as they have been the real superstars. Throughout every obstacle, every challenge, every change, our PS 88Q people have not only rolled with the punches but made each "pivot" special. I am forever grateful for their hard work and dedication. Show them some love this week! I have created a padlet for you to Shout Out these stars!
We start the week off with a day off. Happy Eid Mubarak. There are a few updates for this week:
- Gifted and Talented Meeting @ 7pm with District 24 Team
- Our PTA meeting is postponed to May 18th to allow all to join Superintendent Chan's G &T meeting
- Teacher Appreciation Week
- Senior Spirit Week

Please Join! Important Information
Grade 5 Family Meeting
It is that time! Time to prepare for graduation. I will be hosting a Grade 5 family meeting on May 9th at 7pm. Please join me! Graduation will be at PS 88Q in our school yard.Here are some dates to jot down:
- In person graduation June 22nd (9am and 11 am). Rain date June 23
- Senior Breakfast and Celebration June 24th
