Weekly Update 6/6

for room 111

It's the Final Countdown!!!

Dear Parents,

It's hard to believe this year is coming to a close. I have had such a great year with these kids, watching them learn, grow, and challenge themselves to new things. Thank you to all of you for your hard work and dedication with these kids. Each and every one of them is amazing!

Student Life

This week at a glance...

Balboa Park Study Trip: On Thursday, June 9th, we will be having a study trip to Balboa Park. We will be going to The San Diego Museum of Art and the Mingei Museum. Both of these museums will have FREE docent-guided tours. Also, due to a generous grant from the Mingei, our transportation to and from the park will be subsidized. If you haven't already sent in your $13 donation to cover the rest of the bus fee and your permission slip, please do this ASAP.

End of the Year Party: On Wednesday, June 8th we will be having our end of the year party. Renee has sent out a flyer with more information. If you would like to come, parents are more than welcome, please notify Renee or myself if you plan on attending!

Progress Reports: I will send home progress reports on the last day of school. Please look through these with your child and congratulate them on all of their successes this year.

Compass Learning/Reading Logs: In order to help prevent the "summer slide", it is important that your child continue to practice reading and math. One great way to do this is to have them go on Compass Learning or Dreambox, as well as read daily. On the Solana Ranch website, you can access logs to track progress with these summer activities. Students who keep them up throughout the summer will get recognition at our first Friday assembly in the fall.

I hope everybody is able to enjoy time with each other this summer. Relax and have fun--you all deserve it!

I will miss you all,

Hanna Vojak

Miss Vojak's Class, Room 111

In room 111 we are dedicated to excellence! We always put first things first and try our hardest. We know that homework is just for practice and is never worth tears. This means we are only responsible for 1 hour of trying our best and anything else can be taken care of at school. We know that our biggest rock in 4th grade is learning to be responsible for ourselves and taking ownership of our education and learning. If we always try our best, we know we will succeed.
