Monday Morning Memo - Week 28
3/26/18 - National Reading Month
Dear Poupard Staff,
Thank you once again to Kelly, Maya and Shaughan for organizing a great event last week! I appreciate all the staff members that were able to attend and helped making it an outstanding evening for our students and their families. It was an incredible sight to see our students engage with NHS members from North while they visited different stations. I strongly believe our students left with new experiences and interests due to the event.
I hope you all are getting as excited for Leadership Day this Wednesday as I am. We have over 20 individuals registered to attend from schools all around GP along with people in varied positions around GP and HW. Thank you to our Lighthouse Teams and Action Teams for leading the way in preparing for the Leadership Day in 2 days!
Lastly, I hope enjoys this short week leading into a much deserved break. You all pour so much into our students each and everyday, leaving the building on "E". This will be an opportunity to fully recharge to finish out our year strong. As always, thank you for all you do!
**Homework club is only held on Monday this week.
Best,
Ali

Nuts and Bolts
- Please remember to take your Walkie Talkie with you outside when you take your students outside for an extra recess. The office staff has had a tough time locating individual students at the end of the day and it can be especially challenging with one person.
- Ruth's last day at Poupard was last Friday. She accepted a transfer over to Maire. The search for a full-time replacement is nearly finalized. We'll have a sub for this week, with hopefully the new person starting the following week.
- The School Improvement Team is looking for books in good shape for Poupard's Literacy Night in May. If you find some, get a receipt and give them to Lori Woz.
- Hall Passes have been handed out. PBIS is currently working on purchasing bathroom passes for classrooms that don't already have them. Please give student(s) a hall passes when they are traveling to different parts of the building (office, lab, lunch with teacher, etc).
- All tenured staff should meet with Cindy to schedule their observation. You will be scheduling three dates (Pre-Observation, Observation, and Post-Observation).
- GPPSS will be adopting Schoology as its primary Learning Management System next fall. Free accounts can be made and transferred over into the following school year. Click here to create a free account.
