COVID REFRESHER
If your child is being tested for COVID please let us know. The student will remain home until the test results are back. We will require a copy of the test results to return. Only the student testing is excused from school, all siblings are to continue attending.
If a parent is being tested, students are still to attend school until those test results come back positive.
We are approaching cough/cold and flu season. The same rules about illness apply from previous years. If a student has a fever, vomits or has diarrhea they are to remain home until they are fever/vomit/diarrhea free for 24 hours without medication. Please do not medicate your child prior to school.
If you child is not feeling well and you are unsure what your next step is regarding school attendance, please ask. I am more then happy to answer questions!
Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions or concerns.

Rhythm Kits
What: Rhythm Kits for Kindergarten through 5th Grade
When: Starting next week. Monday, October 12th
Why: So the students will have his/her own instrument bag with percussion instruments inside. This will cut down on having to disinfect as many items daily.
Directions: Students may begin bringing small percussion instruments that are in Gallon Sized Baggies, labeled with the students’ names. The instruments will be stored in the music room. They will be separated by grade level and by class tub. Hand sanitizer will be used prior to using the kits and the instruments will be sanitized after each use.
What to bring: Small items that can be tapped, scraped, or rattled such as a maraca, drum, or rhythm stick would all be appropriate. Please do not buy any instruments. The students are challenged to look around the house and see what can be used as a rhythm instrument for class. They are instructed to get Parent Approval prior to bringing the item to school.
This will be exciting to see what the students create as they will perform some wonderful rhythmic performances that we will share with you, so stay tuned. If you have any questions please reach out by email. I read these daily and will get back to you as soon as I can.
Musically Yours,
Mrs. Middleton
CONFERENCE MEALS
Hello Meadowlark Families,
Please help us support our staff during conferences by signing up to bring an item for their lunch and dinner time on Thursday, October 29th. Items maybe homemade or bought from a store since it is the adult that we are serving and not students of USD 385. Hot and cold food items need to be brought to school by 10:00am on Thursday the 29th. Non perishable items may be brought to school during the week of conferences. There is a total of 26 staff that we will be serving. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by sending me an email.
Thank you so much for all that you do for our school!
We know getting traditional Box Tops to school this year might be challenging for families. Your safety is important to us, and we want to make sure your school can earn as much as possible during these unprecedented times. That's why we're opening up our fall submission process to ALL Box Tops supporters this year.
Follow the step-by-step instructions on our website to safely submit your clips so they count toward our school's fall check. You can also watch the simple how-to video below for further instructions.
All Box Tops submissions must be postmarked by November 2 to be included in your school's next check. Only unexpired clips will be accepted, and your Coordinator will be notified as soon as your Box Tops are processed. All submissions received by the deadline can take up to 3 weeks to process from that November 2 deadline.
Thank you for your patience and continued support!
