SHOUT OUTS!!
-Thank you to these people for having me in for writing this week: Erica Kaiser, Stacie Jassen, Michele Clanton, Sandy Lippe, Trisha Flugel and Julia Karen.
Your kiddos are INSPIRING and are doing AMAZING work!
-Thank you to Jennifer Brown and Katrina Staton for gathering all of the Fast Bridge data for ASLT planning!
-Thank you to the second grade team: Kristina Burt, Cheryle Gelfand, Erica Kaiser, Julia Karen and Jana Brent for inviting me to your collaborative planning session Tuesday. I LOVE the agenda you created!
CONGRATS to Becky Reynolds' K class for reaching 5 minutes of reading stamina!!
Technology Tidbits
All the curriculum night/ASLT presentations have information about Itslearning for parents. If you need more help getting your planner set up let me know. Here is the "cheat sheet" for the planner. It includes what the planner should contain and other how tos for the planner. Save this file in your google docs. Remember to add a plan each week (don't just change the date).
Your Itslearning course now has the option of viewing as a teacher or student. This is helpful when planning assignments or wanting to see what permissions the students have in your course.
SPAM-Keep yourself and your students safe. NEVER email anyone (including myself) with username and password. I can reset teacher and student passwords without a password...all I need is the username. No one from county office will ever email you asking for your password.
I'm here to help support you and your class (with or without technology). I'm an email away.
Technology Moments:
- We've completed technology specials rotation with all Kindergarten students. They are doing great with their logins. Practice makes perfect. If older grade levels want to buddy up with a K class to help the kids login that would be great. The more help the better with these little ones!
- Thank you Ms. Clanton for meeting with me and refreshing my mind to what an adventure teaching 1st grade is! Thank you for inviting me in this week to teach one of my favorite writing lessons, Heart Maps, with the kids.
- Mr. Cunningham and I are taking the kids on a virtual reality journey to the causes of the American Revolutionary War. The kids will experience why this war began and make connections to prior knowledge.
HELP NEEDED....PLEASE SEE TASKS BELOW THAT REQUIRE ACTION THIS WEEK.
- IRLA Baseline and Reader Engagement Scale (Kindergarten only) due in School Pace September 7th.
- The Fall F & P window opens August 6th. It runs through September 9th.
- Engagement Ladder Status of the Class baseline due September 9th (Grades 1-5).
Moments of Mustang Might
Each week we want to highlight staff members who demonstrate the 7 Habits qualities.
When people make an impact on you, please share the moment so we can celebrate each other. Email Daphne or Ashley by Friday at lunch time each week to highlight our teammates.
With Much Appreciation...
Thank you to all grade levels for collaborating and working hard to prepare for your ASLT nights!
Thank you to all grade levels for analyzing your many forms of data to help begin the structure of MTSS groups!
Huge shout out to Carol Davis for being a fun, inspiring, and outstanding special education and co-teacher! I love having you in our classroom. The kids look forward to our time with you every day. Thank you for being so flexible and helpful during the beginning of the year. We appreciate all you do!
Thank you to Lynn Bump, Sandy Lippe, and Amanda Luper for all the collaboration! I am blessed to be a part of your team and so thankful for each one of you.
Thank you, Greg Orr, for your Monday messages. I look forward to them every Monday!
I wanted to take a minute and brag on Coach Samples. She has gone above and beyond to adapt PE to a student's needs. She created an “All Star” group that not only makes the student feel special but also keeps him safe. She is the best!!
