School counselors will meet with each student to review their course selections and finalize the registration process from March 11-April 12. For parents and guardians of rising 8th grade students, please attend Grade 8 Parent Night on March 13 (see event below).
In addition, you are invited to attend Teacher Conferences on March 7 from 12noon-2:30PM and again from 6:30PM-8:30PM. Students received a letter with a conference appointment form last week in school- please ask for it! You may also find a copy of the letter and form below.

The McGyver Challenge
Help!! Your friends are trapped in a building surrounded by a moat of alligator-infested water! You need to get them safely away from the building before.....
Armed with only a mirror and a yardstick, students in Mrs. Elofson's Geometry class used similar triangles to find the height of the tree they needed to cut down in order to save their fictitious friend in the McGyver Challenge last Tuesday

Environmental Club
A message from the Environmental Club:
Like most schools, MHS uses a lot of paper throughout the school year. As students who are passionate about the environment, we wanted to make MHS more sustainable, so we created Tree-Plenish.
Our goal is to plant 220 trees in the Mansfield community to replace the trees that were cut down in order to provide MHS's paper supply last school year. On May 4th and 5th, we will have groups of volunteers plant trees in the yards of Mansfield residents.
You can help us achieve our goal by volunteering to plant trees and/or requesting a tree to be planted in your yard. To learn more about the project or to sign up to be a tree recipient and/or volunteer, please visit our website www.tree-plenish.com.
