Stilwell Monday Message
Weekly Student and Family Communication
Monday - 9/21/2020
This week starts the fun with Homecoming. Check out the dress-up days below and we encourage both on-site and online students to participate in the fun.
We would like to thank current and former Stilwell staff members for honoring former Principal Les Aasheim who pass away in March. New benches and a peace pole have been placed in our courtyard to honor his memory and commitment to Stilwell Junior High. Check out the link below for more about Mr. Aasheim.
Our students have been busy learning within our Family and Consumer Science classes. Check out the pictures below to see how students have been showcasing their learning

Highlighting Learning
- Culinary - The culinary students have been learning all about safety within the kitchen. This includes using culinary utensils such as knives and ovens safely. Students have also been learning about kitchen sanitation and cross-contamination. Check out some student videos below.
- Textiles - The students in textiles were tasked with sewing their own face masks to showcase the learning and application of their sewing skills. Some students accessed sewing machines while others chose to hand sew. Check out these creations in the pictures below.

Building Opening and Closing Hours
Each afternoon the building will close to students 10 minutes after the last bell. This would be 2:45 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and would be 2:00 on Wednesdays. We are asking that all students have left the Stilwell campus 20 minutes after the last bell.

Parking Lot Protocol
We understand our parking lot drop-off and pick-up process can be time-consuming. However, we need all families to follow the procedures to ensure our students are safe. Please remember these guidelines:
- Do not drop off your student or stop for any reason along Vine Street.
- Do not pull into the bus lanes along Vine Street.
- Do not allow your student to exit the vehicle until you have pulled up to the curb in the parking lot.
- Please drive slowly through the parking lot and on Vine St.
