Mason Moose Minutes March 4
Teamwork it is! One Mason, One Family, One Team!
Message from the Principal
Dearest Mason Families,
Happy Friday!
It was a productive week getting back to school after the break! Looking ahead to next week, we are excited about the Grade Level Family Assemblies where we hope to recognize our new leaders of the month, review our Mason's Best Pledge together, share in a read aloud, and review our Leader in Me habits! Feel free to have conversations with your student on what they can do to reflect the below!
Mason's Best Pledge
Today I will do my best to be my best.
I will be respectful.
I will practice responsibility.
I will always be safe.
I will show my Mason pride.
Leader in Me Habits
Habit 1: Be Proactive -You’re in charge
Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind- Have a plan.
Habit 3: Put First Things First- Work first, then play.
Habit 4: Think Win-Win -Everyone can win.
Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood- Listen before you talk.
Habit 6: Synergize -Together is better.
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw- Balance feels best.
With March being National Reading Month, kindly know that Friday, March 11th will be Bring Your Favorite Book Day at Mason! I encourage all students to take the time to read at home on a daily basis, have a story read to them, or opportunity to read to someone else! The more they read, the better readers they will be! I encourage all families to read the shared 3rd Grade Reading Law letter provided below. I hope everyone enjoys the beautiful weather expected this weekend! If you need anything or have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email at Hassana@gpschools.org or (313) 432-4404. Teamwork it is! Together we learn, together we lift, and together we lead!
