Principal's News - Our Remote Learning Angel's

During Remote Learning the College provided supervision for students whose parents were required to work and who could not learn from home. Students were allocated to different learning rooms based on the numbers attending and supervision was provided in line with Government regulations. Teachers were rostered throughout this time but the primary supervision role was performed by our Learning Assistants, otherwise known as Remote Learning Angels. These amazing ladies supported students through their learning and encouraged each child to do their best. Some days they had students working from up to four different learning programs in the one room with more Zoom lessons connected at once than we have fingers and toes! These ladies did this with a smile and expertise that meant the world to us!

Our College is so blessed to have such an incredible team of Learning Assistants and to these Ladies we say, 'thank you'!

Summer Uniform

It is wonderful to see all our students back at school in their summer uniforms. We understand the weather has been hot and still quite cold making summer uniform a challenge on certain days.

There are a few area's of concern in relation to our Summer Uniform guidelines and we would like to remind students :

  • All hair over shoulder length needs to be tied up.
  • School dress length is to be at the knee.
  • Only College jumpers and jackets to be worn.
  • No acrylic or gel nails or coloured nail polish

Uniform can be purchased online or alternatively an appointments can be made to visit the uniform shop and can be done by clicking on the link:

Thank you for your support of our College Uniform Policy.

IB - Primary and Middle Years Programs

Our students around the College have been busy enjoying on site learning with many collaborative projects underway. This week students have been spotted around the campus involved in learning that includes:

  • A virtual Chinese Learning Expo hosted by Year 7's
  • Year 5/6 students have been inquiring into different types of energy and the effectiveness of hydropower
  • Year 3/4 continue to inquire into systems in the community
  • Our Year 9/10 Drama students have been busy filming their Drama productions

2020 Graduation and Awards Night

As we know restrictions have caused havoc this year with many regular calendar events for schools and communities. Our Annual Graduation and Awards Evening is an event that we are unable to host as we would 'normally'. To comply with restrictions the College will record and present a virtual Graduation and Awards Ceremony that all families can watch at their own leisure.

It is important for us to recognise our students amazing commitment to learning and college values through our annual awards and celebrate the milestone of graduation for our Year 10 students. This event will be pre-recorded and distributed to all families in Week 10 of Term 4.

Specific information for our Year 10 students and celebrations for their final week will be communicated with families early next week.

We look forward to celebrating this annual event with our community albeit in a slightly different format!
