Teacher Appreciation Week
Next week, May 4-8, is Teacher Appreciation Week. If you are so willing, I am asking that families take a moment to reach out to their child(ren)'s teacher to express their appreciation and gratitude for their efforts. Our Glen Lake teachers are amazing, committed, and passionate! Distance Learning has been a monumental effort to build, deliver, and improve, and our teachers are committed to this each and every day!
Reminder on Distance Learning dates
May 1 and 4 - statewide planning and preparation day for Extended Distance Learning. Teachers will not be available on this day. Students are encouraged to catch-up on missing/incomplete assignments, engage in enrichment activities, do a Passion project, and get outside!
May 5, 6, 7 - Resume Distance Learning
May 8 - Flex Friday

Product Design Lesson, 4th ART
Below are samples of student work. Students learn about product design, the design process and watch a video from the Art Center College of Design. Then students begin brainstorming ideas for creative chair designs (what is its function/purpose). Students then draw their favorite design using learned perspective skills. Finally, after watching the ShamWow guy sell his product, students write their own engaging sales pitch and dictate with style to the ArtSeeSaw template including their chair art and a price tag burst.
Here is a video of a 4th grader, Talon, giving his sales pitch! https://tinyurl.com/y7ge3r5o
